Eastern Cape

The province is situated at the southern tip of South Africa and is the second largest province. This region is extremely varied with mostly arid Karoo in the western interior while lush and green in the east with 800km of coastline. The Eastern Cape is also the birthplace of many prominent South African politicians such as Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo and many others.
There are many activities available throughout the province ranging from malaria free Big 5 safaris to the best surfing spots in Jeffrey’s Bay and also the world’s 3rd highest bungy jumping bridge at Bloukrans River Bridge. The Eastern Cape is home to the Addo Elephant National Park which offers sanctuary to approximately 170 elephants and 400 buffalo. The Tsitsikamma National Park forms part of the Garden Route and is said to be the most unspoilt natural scenery.
